Fred W. Bogart, CPA, Principal

Fred Bogart was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He has expertise in many areas of taxation, including construction, vineyard and winery, and health care industries. Fred also works with closely held businesses and individuals. He graduated from Washington State University at Pullman with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Fred began his career as an accountant in 1985 after playing professional baseball. He joined GBP&B in 1988 and became a Principal in the firm in 1996. Fred works in both San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, and was instrumental in opening our North County office. Fred is a member of CalCPA and the AICPA.

Away From the Office:
Fred enjoys spending time with his wife Terri and their three active sons.
Fred's hobbies include playing golf and coaching baseball.

Professional Influences, Ideas and Advice:
Fred offers this sage advice for aspiring accountants: Find a good mentor and role model and talk to them as much as you can. Experience speaks volumes in both life and accounting.
Fred finds the people at GBP&B to be the best part about working with the firm and counts among his most favorite memories the time he went swimming with his partners amidst crocodiles while on a director's retreat in Mexico.
Although Fred sees accounting becoming more modernized and technically advanced he believes there will always be a need for personal tax and consulting advice.
