Jeanne was born and raised in San Luis Obispo. She is a graduate of Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. After graduation, Jeanne moved out of the area and returned a few years later to raise her family. She joined GPB&B in 1980 after a career in journalism and became a shareholder in 1990. Jeanne specializes in comprehensive tax planning for small businesses and their owners, estate and trust planning and all aspects of real estate taxation. Jeanne is a member of AICPA, CalCPA (past president Central Coast Chapter) and Rotary de Tolosa. She serves on the board of the SLO Chamber of Commerce and is treasurer of the SLO Foundation for the Performing Arts Center.

Away From the Office:
Jeanne’s numerous hobbies and interests include gardening, playing piano, reading, traveling, hiking, skiing, and singing alto in the Cuesta Master Chorale and Vocal Arts Ensemble.
An avid reader, Jeanne counts authors Jane Smiley and Thomas Friedmann among her current favorites and says the book, The World is Flat should be required reading for every young American.

Professional Influences, Ideas and Advice:
At GBP&B Jeanne believes you can write your own ticket - if you're curious, committed, and willing to work hard, there is the flexibility and freedom to progress.
Jeanne advises young accountants to be curious and inquire about everything. The most valuable tool is an accurate memory.
She believes accounting will become more important as clean financial statements will be a must to keep the U.S. a significant player in the world economy. There will be more emphasis on consulting and the relationship side of accounting.
